One night last week, Caillou was having a difficult time sleeping, he was thoroughly convinced that there was a bee in the room. So... Caillou, Jasper and I snuggled up on the couch and watched the Sound of Music. The boys loved the movie. Caillou was enchanted by the singing, and has mastered singing Do-Ray-Me. His next favorite song was "Favorite Things." We really enjoyed our special late night snuggle and song singing together. Caillou has been singing his two favorite songs all week, and it got me started thinking of a few of my favorite things..... simple things, good things, happy things....
Learning how to squeeze a ketchup packet onto a hot dog....
Tractors parading through town....
Baking strawberry pies for my boys, with stawberries from our garden and homemade whipped cream...
My sunshiny, yellow shoes my mama bought for me...
Peacefully sleeping babies...
Carefully selecting the most perfect donut ever...
Making lovelies for the little corners of our home...
a banner above Ollie's crib...
A new shower curtain made from vintage pillowcases and scraps from other projects...
And a few for the kitchen too! To hang up next to my boy's favorite lunch pails...
Oh yes, and bright colors, polka dots, and pretty little dishes, are definitely on my list of favorite things!
So there are just a few of my favorite things! Well, I am off to bed, it has been a busy day. Tomorrow I have another doctor's appointment, which means getting to take a drive down the hill and spend the day with my mama! Another one of my favorite things to do and one of most favorite persons!
I love all the color in your home...mine feels so drab compared to yours...but in this season of life it is all I can manage:)
